ASCO Numatics as single source supplier
Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) will build a world-class refinery scheduled to start operation by the end of 2013, with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day. The refinery will process heavy crude oil into high-value refined products using state-of-the-art, competitive industrial technologies. The refinery and Petrochemical Project are located in Jubail in the eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In cooperation with several valve assembling companies, actuator and valve manufacturers, engineering contractors as well as the end-user (SATORP), ASCO Numatics has developed a variety of solenoid valve by-pass panels for the use of XV and ZV systems (with or without positioners) for the control of single and double acting actuators.
The By-pass panels are equipped with Ex d explosion proof solenoid valves and by-pass switches, certified for ultra low demand mode according to SIL IEC 61508. The key-operated by-pass switch allows on-line SOV testing and maintenance, thus increasing the safety level and reducing the risk of downtime. The project's target completion date is 2013.
